A word from our members

Being a part of IWP is important. It creates a much needed connection between women in our community who are engaged in the political process.

I am a member of IWP because I enjoy networking with inspiring women, forging partnerships and relationships with local leaders…regardless of political party. It is encouraging to see women to bring an alternate perspective to an often male-dominated field.

I once heard a civil rights attorney say that nothing changed in the 60s Civil Rights Movement until the laws changed. That stuck a chord with me. I can be part of the public policy process that brings good and lasting change. IWP membership gives me tools and relationships that help me reach that goal.

I wanted to learn more about the political process. I don’t feel I have the right to complain if I’m not willing to get involved with solutions. I’m not interested in being a candidate, but I do want to know how I can help others run successfully. IWP is helping me be better informed and engaged.
